      Storycard Theater author Hazuki Kataoka presents “Japanese Paper Theater: Interactive Culture for Your Library.” This workshop will demonstrate how the visual storytelling format called kamishibai can help children develop literacy and enable librarians to tell stories rather than simply reading them. The session explores kamishibai history and educational applications, showing how kamishibai can transform storytime into a dynamic, multicultural experience.
